Doctors Remove 120 Nails From 33-Year Old Patient
Doctors at St. Peter Specialized hospital in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, removed 120 nails, a safety pin, two needles, two toothpicks and two pieces of broken glass from a patient stomach.
The doctors removed the aforementioned materials from a 33-year old patient after a two and half an hour operation.
The man, who had a mental problem for the past ten year, went to the hospital as he had developed abdominal bloating and pain.
Dr Dawit Teare, a surgeon who led the operation, told FBC that the operation was conducted successfully and the patient is now in good health.
